Holistic Teacher Exchange - Teacher Agreement

1. What the Holistic Teacher Exchange Is

The Holistic Teacher Exchange (“HTE”) is an open, shared community space for holistic teachers to connect and share teaching opportunities. It is rooted in holistic values of respect, personal responsibility and non-harm.

HTE is not credit-based and does not operate on a one-for-one exchange model. Participation does not guarantee access to any specific class or opportunity.

HTE acts solely as a facilitator of connection, not the delivery, management or supervision of teaching.

2. What HTE Does (and Does Not Do)

HTE:

  • Facilitates introductions and communication between teachers

  • Provides a framework for sharing opportunities

HTE does not:

  • Deliver, manage, supervise or oversee teaching

  • Act as an employer, agent or representative

  • Police behaviour, enforce conduct or resolve disputes

  • Guarantee outcomes, experiences or opportunities

3. Personal Responsibility and Shared Values

All participation is voluntary and undertaken at each teacher’s own discretion.

By taking part, teachers agree to:

  • Act professionally, respectfully and with integrity

  • Take responsibility for their own behaviour, communication and boundaries

  • Engage in the Exchange in a spirit of trust, generosity and self-awareness

HTE is not responsible for the actions or conduct of individual participants.

4. Safety and Wellbeing

Teachers are responsible for protecting their own wellbeing.

This includes:

  • Removing themselves from any situation where they feel uncomfortable, unsafe or vulnerable

  • Taking appropriate steps to protect their physical, emotional and professional safety

  • Involving external support or the police where they believe this is necessary

  • Complying with the policies of any host studio, venue or third party

HTE does not provide safeguarding or enforcement oversight.

5. Insurance and Professional Requirements

Each teacher confirms that they:

  • Are appropriately trained and qualified to offer the classes or activities they provide

  • Hold appropriate, valid and up-to-date professional insurance

  • Are responsible for ensuring their insurance covers all classes, venues and activities they teach or participate in

  • Meet any legal, professional, or contractual requirements relating to their work

HTE does not verify qualifications, does not provide insurance and accepts no responsibility for a teacher’s qualifications or insurance arrangements.

6. Fees (Not currently applicable) and Withdrawal

Participation is voluntary and teachers may withdraw at any time.

If a teacher chooses to withdraw, any fees paid to HTE are non-refundable and will be forfeited in full. Withdrawal does not create any obligation on HTE to intervene in or resolve matters arising prior to withdrawal.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HTE accepts no liability for any loss, injury, dispute or damage arising from participation in the Exchange.

8. Agreement

By participating in the Holistic Teacher Exchange, teachers confirm that they have read, understood and agree to this Agreement and accept full responsibility for their participation.

This Agreement may be updated from time to time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the most recent version.
